So, I was installing a SRT on my P226 and following this
Sig Sauer SRT ( short reset trigger ) instalation
video and an extra piece fell out. So in the below pic my SRT safety lever and sear are on the left. On the right the stock sear is clear. But which of the two other parts are the safety lever and what is the extra part? Simply naming it will help but help on reinstalling it or links to relevant videos would also be appreciated.

Looking at your picture on the right (new parts) from left to right.  Extractor, Ejector, safety lever and sear

The extractor ejector lives to the left of the hammer and spring against the frame held in by the pin in your picture.  Make sure you place the spring with the left leg held down by the small pin in the frame.

I'm having some issues uploading pictures, if no body else chimes in, I'll try to get some pictures up when I get home.

Hey 50, thanks for the help. Hold what you got and I will reassemble per your instructions (and from another forum) and post a pic. I think I got it. Extractor goes to far left (when looking from rear of gun) on the same pin in the middle, and on the other pin attached to left side of frame. Then sear, sear spring, and safety lever.

I think extractor dropped loose as I backed out the pin too far. That is what happens when you watch the 3 minute video instead of the 30 minute one.

So left leg of spring (down side of spring) goes under the pin in the frame, then right leg (up side of spring) gets pushed under for tension. Does that make sense?

Yes it does, and also I used the wrong term, that piece is the ejector not extractor.

Reassembled and function checked! I have had that kit for years; bought t for a 229 I got rid of years ago because it was incompatible with the SRT. I just remembered it and surprisingly after the wo moves still found the kit quickly. That is the first time I have had that gun out for a while, now I need to shoot it.

I think I am back in love with it! First gun I ever bought so it is a keeper.

Thanks for the help!
