I have always been a P220 fan, having owned several over the years.  I currently have a P220 SAO with a factory fitted threaded barrel.  I went looking for an early B-Day present and found a P227 in FDE with night sights for $699 and a P220 in Desert Black with night sights for $599.  I debated for about 30 seconds on which one to get and then proceeded to buy them both.  Can't wait for them to get here!

Nice score.I just got the 220 in the Desert Black as well. It is very nice in color. I wound up getting the FDE Sig grips for it as I didn't care for the rubber ones that come with it.

I think the P227 is a very underated 45. I have been babysitting my dad's for a while, and it is a great shooting pistol. Actually led to me purchasing my first Sig.

I picked up the exact P227 from Palmetto State Armory 3 years back at the same price. The P227 is my favorite pistol. I like i better then my P226 Legion. I keep a 14 rd mag in mine on my night stand.

Does your 14 rd mag work reliably?  Dad had issues with his.  Sig said it was a known problem and replaced them all with 10 rd mags.

The P220 in DB needs a set of grips in FDE in my opinion. It just looks strange to me with the black grips.

My 14 rd mag runs fine. i have fired 600 rds thru it without a problem. The supposed problem happened 3 years ago. I have not read any recent (1.5-2 yrs) whining of problems with 14 rd mags. My 14 rd mag is 3 yrs old, bought it a month after i got the 227.
