So I went to the range today and swapped the slides on my P226 Tacops and my P226 Romeo. Didn't work too well. I thought it would work since they were both P226s with the same style of slide and extractor. I was shooting at 10-15 yards and was consistently a few inches low with the red-dot optic on the Tacops. Even with the Romeo at the max range of adjustment, the rounds were grouping VERY well but low. Live and learn! I wanted a 9mm Sig with a beavertail, red dot, threaded barrel, suppressor co-witness and SRT. I thought I had it and was testing it out before my Silencerco barrel and G10 grips show up for the P226-RX. I returned the slides to their original hosts and will have to test out the P227-RX tomorrow to see if it is an optic issue or just a compatibility issue with the slides. I was always bummed that they put standard height sights on the P226 tacops with the threaded barrel. The P226-RX has suppressor height sights and you can co-witness with the optic.
I did put an SRT on the P226 RX. I also used the time to test some Wolf springs on my P226 Tacops just to be sure I didn't have any light primer strikes. I went to a 17lb hammer spring and 24lb recoil springs on the P226 Tacops with no issues whatsoever. I definitely like the lighter trigger pull with the new spring setup. P226 Tacops runs like a top.
The Sig-ness continues.....
