Ok, I've heard there were issues at first but picked this up for $350. I Carry a Glock27 usually but was thinking of picking up a G43. This was way cheaper. Anyone have experience with these.

The trouble that I'm aware of with the Sig P290 was with the original model not the RS version.  I'm quite happy with mine.  It's gone bang every time unlike I've heard about the non RS version.  This includes Speer Gold Dots which I assume is loaded with the notoriously hard CCI Primers.  Congrats it's a well made pistol.  A lot of people whine about the trigger but I like it.  It's very DA S&W revolver like.

Both my P290RS' were very reliable & accurate, but had light-strike problems w/GECO ammo (a number of my handguns have had light-strike problems w/GECO 9mm).

Have only heard great things with the RS..........the original 290 had the issues but looks like that has been a thing of the past

I hate my trigger but it's never missed a beat. I have been through four g26' and keep going back to my 290rs. You got a good deal. The gun is a great gun

Thanks all. I need to put it thru a good qualifying course. I forgot to mention that it has night sights.

Good pistol I just hate the trigger on the pistol.  It had so much potential but Sig released it with the long DA trigger that I do not care for.

Picked up another today, my LGS offered a deal I couldn't refuse ($300 new). Trigger is better than my previous P290RS' but not as good as my P250's.
I'll hit the range when weather permits, I'm hoping this will be my 'casual' EDC when I can't carry one of my P250's.

I carry one as my backup in an ankle rig. Have not had one issue with either the AE 147gr FMJ ammo or the 147gr HST

I bought a 290RS for the wife several years ago but it did not come with night sights.  Can anyone give me some recommendations for sights?  HD's?  I am assuming #8's front and rear.  Is this correct?
