How old is your pistol and have you ever replaced your recoil spring?

2015 manufacture date. I bought it 2nd hand. No more than 2K rounds through it. I have not yet replaced the spring.

Yes. You don't know if the previous owner installed a 13lb spring for light reloads, etc.

The spring it came with still had the orange paint on it. That's factory isn't it?

I don't know offhand.
Do the ends of the spring look uncut? (el cheapo owner cut off coils instead of new reduced power spring)

You're not feeding it a steady diet of +P+ are you?

Like the others have said, get a new recoil spring. You can get some good springs from Wolffe Springs(they come in many flavors-factory standard, + weights,etc.). What does the front of your frame look like. That slide could be causing more damage to your aluminum frame.
