Just ordered one. Found a few holsters I like. Any good source for mags yet? Also what about grips? The ones from the factory seem decent, but I definitely want to upgrade them to a more aggressive pattern. Thanks in advance!

Regarding the grips.  If you haven't shot one yet wait.  The g10's on there are very aggressive especially when combined with the front strap checkering.  Hogue is supposed to make g10's for it too. No medallion.

I handled one last night to compare it to my P6/P225.  I didn't think you could make a gun more comfortable than a P6.  I was wrong.  The 225A1 is AMAZING!

I have one, great handgun. For mags, fortunately I'm local to the SIG Pro Shop and buy them there.

I just order The Covert Carry IWB Tuckable from Wild Bill's Concealment. They told me the same model for the 228/229 will work for the 225 A1.

I'll need to check out Wild Bill's. I found several companies already make a A1 specific holsters. I'm thinking for now one from Black Rhino Concealment, then later on in the future one from Savoy Leather works.

Are German P6s still desired?
My buddy has one he's thinking of offloading and I'm not seeing a lot of listings out there to help him gauge price.

Yes and no.  Yes because it was a cheaper option to getting P225's.  No because not many people are wanting P225's anymore because there's more options in that category of gun now.

I'll be honest.  My impression of the 225A1 is that it is a better gun than the 225....and I LOVE the 225...LOVE IT.  But the A1 is incredible.  I do NOT like the new mags but only because they aren't straight up 225 mags.  That being said.....they follow the same quality of design that the P225/P6 had which is a rip off of the P38 magazine.  Nothing wrong with that.

This is about what I paid through Bud's gun shop. I'd seen them at Cabela's and Bass Pro for 11 or 1200 and wasn't about to pay that. Saw the deal at Bud's and jumped on it.

I bought the Classic Carry version from Buds about a month ago.  Absolutly love it!  I like it better than my P225 or P239.  Here it is next to my 3914LS.

Man I want one.

I had a P6 that I sold in a moment of weakness. Was thinking of getting the 225A1 this summer, but I bought a M11A1 instead. 225A1 next year!

Yeah, I really love the M11, don't regret choosing it at all. I figured for the same price, it was the more "useful" gun with the higher capacity.

I still can't get myself to really carry it yet though. I mainly carry a USP Compact 9mm or a Glock 19 for that size handgun.

Finally got to shoot mine today! The double action was really hard to get used to, but towards the end I was finally on target with that. The reset I had trouble with at first too, just going farther than I needed. Once I was able to get used to it though, good god what a gun to shoot!

I have been looking for a W. German P225 not a P6! My first ever Sig was a P225 that I bought at a gun show in 1985 for 300.00 and had never heard of Sig before then and had no idea what I had just bought other than it felt good and appeared to be well made. Boy was I surprised when I shot it the first time, what a pleasure to shoot and it was very accurate too. And so from that day on my love affair with Sigs started. Since then I have had many Sigs pass thru my hands. My nickname is trader Hank to my friends lol. But now I am older and know what I like so I have slowly been building my W. German Sig collection. I have a W. German P220 in 9mm a P226 and 2 P228's all W. German. I will have to say the new P225 A1 has caught my eye and if I don't find a W. German P225 I will have to seriously consider the P225 A1

I dunno, a gun in 2016 that is 8+1 and weighs in at 31oz, only 2 ounces lighter than a full sized Beretta 92. That's a lot to carrry around.

The weight to firepower ratio was why I sold my 225 a while back.

I get it though, the ergos on the 225 were pure sex. If the A1 is that much better I can see the draw.  I'd like to compare it in hand to a 239.

I normally carry a Glock 23 with a surefire X300, So I'm really enjoying the weight savings

Figured I'd ask in here first before I start a new thread or 2. What do yall use to carry the mags? Will standard single stack 9 mil carries work, or will I need something mag specific.? I would also like options in single mag carrier and double. Again, thanks for all the help yall!

I just added a P225 hammer to my P6.  That and some new springs and bar/dot sights.  Wha-la!  P225.

Sorry for the bad pic but my "grippy texture" finish looks like crap in photos.  Looks and feels great in person, though.

I gotta see the 225A1.

My P6 almost fits my hand and the trigger/guard pinch my trigger finger.

Single stack 9. It's a beauty.

The 225A1 should have the short reset trigger/re-engineered trigger/fire control group.  Coupled with the trigger guard re-design...this may be the Sig that you seek, my Brother!!!!

I just saw on their website the xray 3 sights. Anyone have a set or know if they'll fit on the 225? They look similar to the Trijicons I have on my other guns and would like to get a set. Looks like you have to call Sig customer service, can't just email them, so I'll be doing that on Monday. Figured I'd ask in here first.
