The Galco summer comfort is the best IWB holster I have found for my 226. I have recently switch to OWB and hide it with a T-shirt. I got the Galco combat master. I find OWB way more comfortable.

I have a Milt Sparks Summer Special II (purchased from Brownells) for my M11-A1. Very comfortable for me to wear daily.

I really like TTgunleather...

He has many choices and types of holsters available, and his current wait is only 6-7 weeks, which is pretty good for custom leather (usually his wait is 8-12 weeks). I should be receiving a "Slim XC" for my P320c any day now. Will do a review when I get it.

I have bought and use a kydex type holsters now. I find them rigid, secure, lighter and thinner than leather holsters. I own a couple from Concealed Weapon Solutions and am impressed with how well they are made. The belt clip is rugged and hardware used are spot on. I sometimes wear exercise shorts with a string tie to adjust them and the holster remains attached to the pants and not to the gun when drawn. I don't like carrying leather anymore.

I have a couple of holsters from Tim at TTGunleather and have used him for years! He's made rigs for my 1911, M&P45/9, CZ75 and Sig P226 & P227.

Here's a picture of his OWB Snap holster with a P227 to give you an idea.

After trying a number of brands, the only thing I buy now is the N82Tactical. I prefer their Pro version with the polycarbinate shell. They do make one for the P229. I think it is the only holster that also puts some holster between you and the grip so that never digs into you. Most comfortable thing I have tried and I have tried a whole lot of them. Returned the ones I could and sold the rest.  I use their one with the single clip. They do have a double clip version now for the double clip diehards. For release, you do twist the gun slightly, but I find that a normal movement for me. Never been a problem.

Milt Sparks, either the Executive Companion, or the Summer Special.

if you want to spend a little less, the Galco Scount clip on is also a nice IWB, and the clip makes On & Off easy.

I carried a P228 in a CompTac CTAC for years.  Milt Sparks VMII is good if you like leather.

A P228 in a Bladetech Nano works well for me.
