German made P228, got 3 of them and no other pistol balances like the P228, and I have shot and owned a lot of different pistols over the years. I just scored a mid 90's factory 2 tone P229 in 40 cal. Should be here tomorrow. I know it won't balance like my P228's but the extra weight in the slide should help a little with hot 40 cal rounds. We will see. I would like to add a P226 one day, and the one I have been hunting for years is a factory nickel 228. Anyone know of one I would appreciate the lead. I use to be a HK fanboy, still have a full size USP in 9mm, but nothing suits me better than the P228. They aren't hard to find at all, if you know where to look, now pricing, that's another story. Folks read a thread like this where people are saying how hard they are to find, so the seller thinks he has a very rare pistol and wants a grand plus. What's amazing is I have seen people pay that. You want a rare one, find a factory nickel, now that's a rare bird. For those that know Sig's there is even one more rare than the all nickel. It is a factory nickel lower with a standard Nitron black slide, now that's a needle in a haystack find right there.

I have an old P225, P239 and P229 (latter two in 357) and the P225 I liked the best.

Though it is being retired for this new Sig.

Feels like it will be a nice carry piece.

Last time it will be in it's box. IOP guns come with three mags which is nice.

I'd have to agree with this. My 01 228 wasn't bad and I wish I had it back but still.

Between the P238, P938, P239, SP2022 and 229 Legion, I'm going with the 2022.
