I found a Sig P229 .40 cal for sale for $425 it comes with 3 13 round mags. Is this a decent deal? I do not know how old it is.

Sounds like a good deal to me, even without knowing the condition. I paid a fair bit more than that for mine but it's in excellent shape with all the factory stuff that came with it.

Good deal unless it needs a lot of work.
I got my P228 for $525 years ago and almost bought a P229 yesterday for 499.

I would say DO IT! Keep in mind, depending on age of the P229 the new spring kit (trigger bar spring to be exact) will also need a new grip replacement.

Depending on condition could be a decent price. FWIW, I don't know of 13 round .40 mags. AWB 10s, normal 12s and extended 14s, but not 13. Standard 9mm are 13.

It would be a good price even better if it was a CPO. I bought one also for 575.00 CPO but it looked brand new. If you bought it lets us know with pictures.
