Hi there,

Does anyone know what the front and rear sight heights are on a Full Size stock Sig P320?

I have the factory white dot steel sights.  Front is marked as #8.  Rear has a marking but I can't make out the number.

Thanks in advance.

I have the p320 in both 40 and 9.

Both guns have number eight sights front and rear.

The actual measurements are the front sights are .220 total height and .140 width  which equals a #8.  The rears are .250 total height with a rear notch width of .150 equaling #8.  These are the measurements for the factory Sig night sights.  I'm sure the standard Sig sights are the same.  These measurements are for the P320, and any other Sig using #8 sights front and rear.   Your full size should have a #8 rear also, the number is on the rear sight under the MH3 tritium marks..and it is teeny tiny...

Excellent!

Thanks for the info guys.

My factory sights are hitting 2 inches high at 10 yards so I was trying to figure out how much higher my front sight needs to be to get my desired POI.

As an alternative, I may just try out the new Dawson Precision fiber optics.

Make sure you understand that Sig POA/POI reference is a 6 o'clock hold, meaning the rounds should hit right at the top of the front sight post.  If this is where your POA is and they are hitting above that, then consider a .taller front sight, which will bring your POI down.  Here is the Sig sight measurement table.  You can use this to dial in your POA/POI and compare it to other sight manufacturers measurements to dial in your pistol.   Taller front sights bring your POA/POI down.  Taller rear sights bring your POA/POI up.  My 320 has #8 both front and rear and the impact point it directly at the top of the front sight out to about 15 yards.  At 25 it is a tad higher than the front sight.

Rear Sight Heights:

#4 = 5.24mm (0.21 inches)
#5 = 5.52mm (0.22 inches)
#6 = 5.80mm (0.23 inches)
#7 = 6.07mm (0.24 inches)
#8 = 6.35mm (0.25 inches)
#9 = 6.62mm (0.26 inches)
#10 = 6.90mm (0.27 inches)

Front Sight Heights:

#5 = 6.01mm (0.235 inches)
#6 = 5.88mm (0.230 inches)
#7 = 5.74mm (0.225 inches)
#8 = 5.60mm (0.220 inches)
#9 = 5.46mm (0.215 inches)
#10 = 5.32mm (0.210 inches)

I read on another forum that the carry model was coming with #6 rear sight to compensate for the P320 shooting a little high.   David
