Picked up the Alien gear combo IWB holsters. I recieved them last week, but sadly my GA carry license is not valid here in SC. I can't wait until I get back to GA. I will say the retention is better than my Osark Holster Co IWB holster, and I really like the belt clips.

P229R E2

Comfort Holster - Jaguar Stong Side.

It's inbound, but won't have it for another 2 weeks or so.

I also have a couple of OWB holsters that are not used in a CC capacity, but rather a training class set-up.

Fobus SG-21. The P226 is too damned big for CCW work.  The fobus paddle works perfect on the range.

I have a Raven Phantom that I carry a P229R in and love it.
Holds the pistol tight to my body offering very good concealment.

I started out with a Crossbreed.  Since it doesn't enclose the muzzle, the end of my P220 tore my pants pretty badly.  I got an MTAC, which covers the muzzle, and never looked back.

I use a Vigilance Tactical Sentinel for my 229R. Been using it for over a year now with the paddle attachments. I had to go with the paddle loops as my leather belt could not get through the loops due to spacing between the form and loop entry. One of the big advantages is the use of a tension screw. While form fitted I can still adjust the tension to my liking. Overall I've been satisfied with it and would consider another one. He's a local guy which is one of the main reasons why I chose him in the first place.

P938 and just received my D. M. Bullard tuckable IWB. Still trying to get used to it but you can tell it is well made. Want to get a few others of his for the same gun.

No rail P229:
Kramer horsehair belt slide, really stiff, prints like a mofo and creaks a lot
K Rounds IWB, slender, adjustable retention (which I really like) and doesn't creak!
Contact concealment 0* can't kydex OWB, currently ziptied to my battle belt.  I had to take a heat gun too it to get the right retention but it is still better than the
Serpa.  Came free with the pistol, I had it on my battlebelt but holy shit remembering to push a button to draw was not working for me.

I need to get a better set up on my battlebelt and return the OWB Kydex to indoor range use.

I got a Crossroads owb holster from Adams Holsters.  This holster didn't need a break in.  I really haven't had a chance to wear it yet but it looks good.

I'll be ordering a BlackPoint Tactical Leather Wing later in the week for my P320. So far, they are the only company that I can find that has full size P320 holsters. I don't want to buy a P250 if I can avoid it.

If just going to the range I have no problems with any of the open carry,  kydex type OWB holsters. For IWB concealed, I have N82tactical.com for my 1911 Ultra Compact and one designed for my P938 but also holds my P238 with just a slight bit of wobble. Like less than 1/16" but it holds it well, although usually I carry the P238 in a pocket holster if clothing requires less printing.

I had purchased Alien Gear holsters but had problems with the metal tabs on the back digging into my skin, rubbing me raw. I don't wear T-shirts under other shirts. Too warm for me. AG has a great warranty policy and took them back. Alien Gear were great, but not against the skin if you do not wear T-shirts between the holster and skin. Just my opinion. Others seem to love them. The N82 holsters have a soft cloth on the inside against your skin.

Finally got the laptop out to post pics for you.

Got a Comp-Tac Minotaur (MTAC) for IWB for my P229.  Also have a OWB kydex made by a local guy.

I had a single mag pouch from Comp-Tac that was IWB, but man was it uncomfortable.  Gave it to a friend.  I do not recommend it.

The MTAC is awesome.  I carry around 4:30-5:00.  With a good belt, I almost forget it's there.  The OWB is good for competition, but I don't like to CC OWB.  Still, I can't carry at work, so the P229 actually spends most of its time in the kydex, just not on my belt.

I had bought a Fobus paddle holster because it was cheap and readily available leading up to a HG1 class.  It SUCKED.  The only thing it was good for was reinforcing that I needed legit gear and that I was able to think on my feet.  Every time I would draw, the holster would come off my belt and I'd have to strip the damned thing off my pistol before doing the course of fire.  And that was after I had already taken a file to the inside of it, after noticing it was tight.

My SP2022 came with a factory paddle holster.  It works just fine for range use, maybe even competition.  It secures to the belt nicely and carries the SP2022 well.  Wouldn't use for CC though.

I'm not a fan of IWB and I prefer leather.  I have a holster from El Paso Saddlery, Snap-off Elite, for my P220 Carry on order.  I like snap-offs for EDC, but this is my first from El Paso-wish me luck.

I purchased a whole set (gun/mag holsters and belt) from Tucker and Byrd Gunleather. Conceals very well and they look great to boot. The P220 just feels right in leather.

Have a 229 that has been used with a Kramer MSP paddle horsehide holster since 1992. Holster has held up to daily use  with one trip back to Kramer for repair. I just recently picked up a Frontline kydex and leather combo paddle and is just as comfortable. Liked it so much, I got one for my S&W mod.19 2.5" 357. If you buy, buy quality.
