Looking for Sig P229-1 15rd 9mm mags.  I can find P229 .40 mags for $15-20, but the P229-1 mags seem to run around $35.  Am I just looking the wrong places?

Thanks,
m6z

I've picked up several in the $27-30 range from Top Gun Supply.   Gotta catch it right.

Got mine for 36.00.  There is an advantage to having the sig pro shop 10 min away.

I have gotten SIG magazines for a decent price from Osage County Guns.

Any of you guys run the Mec-gar 17rd P229-1 mags?  I ordered three of them and none of them drop free.  Is this typical?  Currently the only other mag I've got is a Sig 40 S&W 12rd and it shoots right out of the mag well when you hit the release.

I run Mec-gars in my 228.  Work without a hitch.

My grip screws were the issue.  Loosened the bottom ones about half a turn and now the mags drop free.

Will the 228 mecgar's work in the new 229?

Good deal. Was just about to post that I have three that work flawlessly.  But I also have the E2 grips on my P229.
