It's the "new" p228.
That is a crazy high price though. This coming from the guy who is buying a late 80's barely fired P228 with 6 mags on Saturday. |

We need a sticky on differences between the real P228 and the current M11-A1. It seems at least once a week folks confuse the new production model as being the same as the german 228. The current M11-A1 is a P229 without a rail. Only thing it shares in common with the real P228 are the grip panels

It's a nice pistol and that price is a few bucks lower than here http://shop.sigsauerguns.com/Handguns/P228-Series/Sig-Sauer-M11-A1-TB.html
It's interesting they sell these threaded barrel pistols with standard height sights. I noticed it's true for the P220 and P226 versions as well. P220  P226 Elite  |

As LarryG has stated above:
The plastic grip panel is the ONLY " P228" part on the M11-A1 the BARREL is correctly labelled as P229-1 The magazines that fit that pistol are P229-1 . Call it what you want, buy it, shoot it, LOVE it, but please, understand.... it is NOT a P228 . . If you get the M11-A1 ( and you should ) be aware that it takes P229-1 magazines.

I believe P228 mags will fit the M11-A1 but they will rattle in the magwell.
