Recently I said if I see one going to buy it. I have US made Sigs but have not had a German one since my first Sig 226 I bought in 85. I sold it in the 90's. I decided about a month ago to buy some if I ran across them. Found a beautiful W. German 220 2 weeks ago. Today found an immaculate German 228. Can't wait to shoot them especially the 228. The balance is unbelievable.

You will love it. The P228 gives up nothing to the P226 in terms of shootability. I have both.

That's a gorgeous pair.  If I ever come across one I'd snap it up.  I love my M11-A1 despite some growing pains going through the first few hundred rounds breaking it in.  I do plan on getting another Sig in a similar configuration for EDC, which will either be a P229 SAS or a W. German P228/M11 if I can find one and haven't blown my wad on other gun stuff.

In 30 years have never had a misfeed from a sig. The last two I bought had major issues and had to go back. CS was not very nice either. That's why I am buying German now.

I'd love to replace my G23 EDC with a clean German 228.  I've been hooked since my recent purchase of a German 226.

I love mine. Its my favorite.

I prefer mine with checkered Hogue aluminum grips though.

Beautiful gun. Since I just bought mine keeping it original for now. I like those grips though.

Nice pick up.  P228 is a testament to quality and engineering.

I've had mine since the first year they were out. Well over 10K rounds fired. NEVER a malfunction.
