Mk25 will have corrosion resistant internals, but I hear they may make trigger feel a little rougher.
If you're not going swimming with it, it may not be worth the extra $$$$ unless you want the little anchor and id logo as a Seal. There's not much difference 'cept for finish of most others..though some now have beavertails...whoch imho, are completely unneeded in a 226. I'd go with a full steel version if the extra weight doesn't bother you.

Combat I think is tan frame and black slide, has night sites but no beavertail and I don't think a SRT trigger. Like a stock 226 with night sights and tan color.
The MK25 is done internally with a coating to help with resistance for salt water. pretty much the same as the combat except for coatings and it has a more standard 1913 rail. The Scorpion has a beavertail and SRT trigger. It is more like the elite and is the more loaded model of the 3. Of the 3, I would buy the Scorpion and add the E2 grips. |

I just picked up a P220 combat, which is the same as the 226 combat aside from caliber.
The Combats have the dark earth anodized frame and matching grip color. They have a chrome lined barrel and phosphated internals and parts made to resist 10 days of saltwater corrosion. (Might also be good if you use suppressor wetted with water.) They do not have the SRT trigger, but they do have the "short" Sig trigger, which is thinner than the standard trigger and has a shorter reach (better for small handed people). I actually have to use less finger on the trigger or else my finger gets pinched (not sure if I can live with the short trigger yet). As far as the trigger feeling more gritty, I chose the combat over an Elite Dark (with SRT) because I thought the trigger felt better on the combat. I have a regular P226 9mm that I've had for years that is an outstanding gun. Both the P220 and P226 are soft recoiling guns that are easy to control. Both very accurate guns too. Great feeling ergo grips too. |
