THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT My question is that today while firing my P6 the trigger wanted to travel farther than normal before firing. It is hitting the frame now and stopping before allowing the gun to fire. It doesn't do this every time, but almost. It went 200-300 rounds just fine until this problem has now popped up. Is there any problem with shaving a little off the back of the trigger and seeing if that will fix it? I just cleaned the pistol after getting home and now it will not fire on single action at all. It is 100% on double action. I used a snap cap for testing. I checked my P226 with the skeleton trigger and it fires just before it hits the frame but so does my other P226 with the factory trigger. I also measured the skeleton trigger and the factory trigger where they come close to hitting the frame on both and they seem to be the same. I also checked my 229 and it is the same. I am just glad this happened at the range as I started to carry my P6 about half the time and a malfunction at the wrong time could have been a very bad day. Thanks for any help. If you want to know who the gunsmith was feel free to email me. Edit. I checked and the gun will work on single action if the slide assembly is off. With the slide assembly on but the grips removed if you push on the trigger bar then it will work on single action. As I saw mentioned in another thread perhaps the aftermarket trigger has the hole for the trigger bar just slightly out of spec? |

Took it to my buddy who does gunsmithing on the side. It turned out to be a bent trigger bar and after he bent it back into shape it now works perfectly. Apparently the guy I had do the trigger work on it bent it. All good now. |

Will Sig's Custom Shop work on these guns? Can they get the Action Enhancement Package and Short Reset Trigger?

I am sure Sig will work on these but I am not sure about the SRT. You would want to call them.
