THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT SIG P250 Compact in 40S&W.
update range report: Put 75 rounds through it today and this is one of the better shooting pistols I have ever shot, very manageable recoil, double taps, and 2 to the chest 1 to the head setups were smooth and accurate |

I think the triggers were great and very smooth. Too bad Sig dropped the ball on this with not having all the parts to swap out with-slide,frames,etc..

Well played Sir! A man could do a whole heck of a lot worse for a first pistol. That .40 cal is a little snappy in the recoil department, but it is effective for SD and as a general purpose round. I hope you are as happy with yours as I am with mine!

also for those who have them, this gun seems to shoot low, my understanding from research on the web is that is common of all sig pistols, are there any better sights out there to make it more accurate or should i just learn to aim it higher?

Might be your grip and sight picture... I have owned and shot Sig pistols for over 20 years and taught countless classes and training/qualification with Sig pistols, and they are very accurate handguns as issued from the factory. Not to say yours isn't equipped with a poor sight combo, but I find that to be rare, vs. the shooter trying to aim with the dots vs. using the top edge of the front sight, which is the correct way. The dot/s are just there to index the gun and direct your eye to the front sight. The top edge of the front sight is where the POA/POI is regulated. Try cutting the target in half with the front sight edge next time you shoot it. If that doesn't help and it's still shooting low, you can call Sig and order a shorter front sight (they are numbered front and rear so you can mix/match them to get where you need). A lot of times they will send them to you free if it's a new pistol. Seriously though, try adjusting your sight picture first and make sure you are gripping the pistol as high up on the frame/blackstrap as it will allow. Trigger finger placement on a DAO gun, even one with a smooth pull as the P250, can also cause the trigger to pull the muzzle down slightly, resulting in low impacts. Make sure your trigger finger is centered or slightly low on the trigger, with the first pad of your trigger finger centered in the trigger.
Let me know of this helps. In 14 years of armoring, teaching and training with Sigs, I have only replaced one or two sights due to them being mis-matched from the factory. -Tac |

I would have opted for the 2022 or P229 in 9mm
But as long as you like it that's all that matters |

I will try this again this weekend when I hit the range. I will do some dry firing so work on finger placement on the trigger and my grip. thanks again |

I bought a great gun for my budget IMO. I do agree the P229 is a nice pistol though and may be an upgrade for me in the future. |
