I like it, but not enough to pay a $200 tax stamp for it.

It runs about $500 plus shipping, and don't forget....since its now technically a SBR, Uncle Sugar wants his $200 tax.

They should've made it with an adjustable stock.  Would be interesting for a Bug-Out Weapon, but I don't have a spare Glock sitting around that I can just SBR

That is awesome!!  I'd love to have one, but finances don't allow it right now.  Maybe in a couple of years if things turn around.  Have fun shooting her!!

I hate to rain on your parade but aren't SBRs and AOWs illegal in NY?

One thing I thought about that might be a "negative" for this stock option:  No manually operated safety.  You wouldn't want to let this weapon configuration hang at your side.  There is a possibility of something getting hooked into the trigger while you're moving about.  The only way I would feel safe with this setup is that it's always in my hands or I carry it with an empty chamber

Actually those fab stocks are around $100 now, and you NEED iron sights or an optic for that HERA stock.. so its more like between 1/9 to 1/6 th of the cost LOL

HERA kit - $500
Tango Down vert grip - $60
BUIS - $95 (MINIMUM for the plastic magpul ones... about 2x that for steel ones)
Bushnell HOLOsight - $300
––––––––––––––––––––––––––-
Total: $955

..and you still haven't paid $200 for the tax stamp, nor rendered your gun temporarily useless for anything else but that stock because of the required removal of the rear Glock sight, not to mention the assembly required with the pins and all that

It would be one thing if this just used a glock frame and had it's own action a'la mectech or whatever it is called. But it don't and it requires mods to your glock that make it not really useable as a handgun unless you swap out parts again and replace the pin.

Of course we could always wait for the folding unit from MagPul.

So how do you engrave a polymer glock frame and comply with the atf regs?
Link Posted: 11/10/2009 7:20:15 PM EDT
[#15]
So far as i know, you can engrave the polymer body. Thats what they do with CavArms lowers. Of course, its always worth a double check, dont take some idiot on the intertubes word for it...

That is some truly ghey ass shit right there.................................

"hey look, we took a pistol, made it gigantic, heavier and more cumbersome, but it's still just a pistol.......cool, huh?"

I'll say again.........looks like Gaston Glock had unprotected sex with R2-D2, and that popped outta R2's ass 9 months later.

Some truly useless shit.

Try the Endo Tactical Stock adapter instead.  It is more solid than the FAB stock, which flexes in every way, and it doesn't make the gun all heavy and bulky, and you can get  a stock that is adjustable and/or folding.

That stock is silly, unless you are running full auto, in which case it would make the gun easier to hold and control, but no worth it in semi.

Also, the comment about not having a safety is a valid one.  I would not want to sling it unless I have a manual safety, or I would want a holster type thing, like FAB sells that would hold the gun and cover the trigger guard.

It is not very likely, but likely enought that some peice of webbing, strapping or whatever from you gear could cause an AD.

There is an aftermarket trigger assembly that you can get that has a plunger you have to push in sideways to enable the trigger to go to the rear.  Can' trememebr wheat they are called.

I am right handed, use a Glock as my sidearm, and will have to go NFA for the suppressor anyway.

I am only buying one if they for sure come with a ski mask or some sort of ninja face wrap.

the rear sight you are suppose to use with the "conversion" also looks like ass.

The conversion just has a standard rail.  You can put whatever BUIS you want on it, or run an optic alone, or run an optic with a built in backup.

I was referring to the rear sight with a shallow notch you have to use for your glock to make the unit work properly.

some had pictures on here a while back in a write up they did.
