The Glock site says that the 23 can have a capacity of 15, but all the "preban" clips I find only have a capacity of 13.  Whats the deal?

How do the extensions work?

Does a G22 Mag just fit into a G23?

If you're asking the manner in which they work, then the answer is that the floorplate of the magazine is removed and replaced with the +2 adapter. You can see pictures of them here - www.glockmeister.com/basement.html, just scroll down to the +2s

If you're asking how well they work, then I'll tell you I haven't been impressed with them. I put them on my G22 mags and can only get 1 more round in. On top of that, an instructor told me that he had seen the +2s actually fall off while firing. If that were to happen during a gunfight, you'd have a problem.

Yup. They hang down a little bit, but they click right in.

Well, I realized that I had put the new inserts in backwards, and having put them in correctly, I can get 2 rounds in. Whether they'll hold up in a firefight is another question.

I saw a friend at work with a G17 with a +2 extension bump his mag on something while it was in his duty holster. The extension came off and all 19 rounds poured onto the floor! LMAO

I've got a NFML 13rd Glock 23 mag, and an aftermarket +2.  I had several jams the first time out, and have ordered a new spring. Hopefully this will solve my problem.

Actually, I have come to find out that this Sherer +2 is made for the FML mags.  Anyone know of any way to modify them for use on the NFL mags?

Kev,
Is there any way to send my NFML mags away to make them FML?  I'm getting tired of non-drop free, non-modifiable mags, just because they are not FML!  Also, any idea where I can pick up some 23 or 22 FML hi caps?

By the way, I ruined that damned plus 2 by trying to reform it.  I'm out 5 bucks, oh well.  However, those plus two's will fit a Glock 27 mag great, and make the mag hold 11 rounds instead of 9.  It's all for nothing, since this is illegal.  I really need to buy some 23 or 22 FML hicaps for my Glock 27.

I also find that the fit is not very good on my old 23 mags in my 27.  The mag goes in ok, but the mag release button is not all the way depressed.  I think this is because it is NFML.  By the way, NFML mags are the devil!
