I recently acquired a Glock 30S and am really enjoying it.  Im not a big .45 fan but there is just something about that big fat round that makes me giggle a little.  The pistol shoots well and recoil is reasonably controllable.  I have about 500 rounds through the gun so far and function has been 100% even with some of my light .45 handloads.  I dont see a lot of posts out there on the Glock 30S so I'm wondering who all has them and what they think about the pistol.  I do wish it came in Gen4 but its not a deal breaker for me.  Mandatory pic below with extendo clipazine.

There is a good chance I will be buying a Glock 30 of some variety next week, I'm just not sure which specific model yet.

My 30S is sitting a foot away from me in it's hloster along with a spare 21mag.

It's been my edc for almost 2yrs and I've been happy with it.

If you want a Gen4 you have to build it yourself.

Actually sold the one with heaviest wear to fund a rifle but yeah, a 9 rd .45 that you can pocket carry, whats not to love.
Nice backup for my gen4 21 and share mags.
Mines never jammed either and ive run my handloads through all my 45's almost exclusively

I went back and forth between the Gen4 30 and the 30S and inevitably went with the 30S because it fits some of my 9mm glock holsters.  If a Gen4 30S comes out ill be trading this one in on it.

If I were more vested in .45 glocks I might build a frankenglock like yours.

I just closed out the third chapter in the 30 series.  Owned two 30's in the past, sold them both. Tried one last time with the 30s about four years ago, enjoyed it, great power in a small package. But just sold it to a friend last month.  This is my last go round with this pistol.  One of the best pistols to own, but never shot.  My G19s over shadowed it.

While am a .45 fan, my Colts fill that spot.  I may regret it one day, but right now all of my Glocks are of the 9mm variety and will stay that way.  I have consolidated down my pistol types, have multiple copies of the 19 and 17, thinking magazine compatibility and spare parts.

I just bought/traded for a 30s, and also got a NIBX 19 last week.

Now I have to get the money to send the slides to Fowler, and the grips to Jarvis

Funny you started the thread. Today is one of those fall days where the 30s seemed like the right gun to put on.

Had one, but sold it because I had other options. If I could find one with the good (old) finish that yours has though, I'd buy it. Hard to find. In fact, I'm not sure I've ever seen one before. I'm in NOVA if you ever want to part with it...

I love mine as well. It's my EDC, and I also load a good practice round with Berry's bullets that doesn't break the bank. As others have mentioned the fact that it fits most G19 style holsters is a bonus. I've also got a gen 2 G30 that I like to shoot as well. The G30s carries much better tho, and I can't tell a difference in recoil or accuracy.

Love mine. Manageable recoil, not too hard to conceal, and fun to shoot.

It was a threaded Lone Wolf & I parted the threads off on a lathe.

I almost always ankle carry a glock 30sf. I also usually carry a glock 21sf as well. They're a good duo

I have a 30S, but due to my agency policy, I am stuck with the 26... given a choice, I would carry the 30S any day. The grip size fits my hand better and the recoil feels like more of a push than a snap going from the 26 to the 30s.

I like my 30s a lot, practically the same size as my 19s which is what I like about them. I don't carry mine regularly, because I have 2 19's that fill that role, but I do carry it sometimes with a spare 21 mag.

Im not a huge fan of the gen3 small mag release, but for this 30 I can live with it. Hoping to have some grip work done on it for Christmas to get it stippled and have the mag relase scalloped.

Does anybody know if a 30s will fit in a Bravo Concealment G19 holster?

Some have gotten lucky, but my 30 wont fit into any of my kydex 19 holsters. The frame is thicker, and usually rubs on the holster unless you can let out the retention enough.

My friend has one and can shoot it with amazing accuracy. Too chunky for me (I had a G36) but a great pistol.

The G30 has been mechanical rest tested and it has some kind of lock-up/inherent mechanical accuracy mojo.

And 45ACP.

I want to like the G30/G30S but they're just too chunky for me and fit oddly in the hand.  They do shoot well though!

I like the S because it has a narrow frame and slide. The SF has a narrow frame and a wide slide.

Well, I tried.  Went to my blue label dealer today and they didn't have a blue label 30s, and I wasn't going to spend $50 more for the base model with plastic sights then I would for one with night sights installed, so I went with the 30.4 instead.  I'm happy with it so far though.
