Just picked her up and I am really happy with it.  Put the first 50 rounds downrange yesterday.  It is what I expected from a Glock.  Very nice to shoot this 45.

It is now added to my growing Glock collection of the 43, 19 and soon, a 26.

I love Glocks.  They just work.

I know many have raved about the G30.  I know why now.  Pretty much the perfect 45 ACP.

Yepper, I thought the same about mine. I still like the 21 as well.

Turned my gen4 30 into a 30S gen4! Sold the original slide. Love it and it shoots great! 45+P oh yah!

Just picked up a 30s today, looking forward to putting rounds through it tomorrow. Gen3 of course, so if its a keeper it will get stippled most likely to add some traction.

ETA: the mag release on the gun I rented previously really chewed up the palm of my support hand after about 100rds. Anybody have a mag release they like for these gen3s? This is the only Glock I have that isn't a gen4.

I love my gen 3 I have a Grip Force Adapter on it for the beaver tail, so I think a gen4 would be even better.

My collection keeps growing also and I am more and more impressed with the company each time. Haven't had any issues other than a VERY early G42 that got sent back and fixed.

G43, G43, G27.3, G23.3, G22.3, G35.3, G24.3.

Yes I tend to shoot and carry .40, it is what I carry on duty and the G22 is my dads old duty gun that I now carry so .40 it is.

I've carried the G17, G22 and G27. Have settled in on the 45acp pistols. May look to switch out to 9mm once I retire.

Glocks come in all shapes and sizes and and they're all easy to shoot.

Here is the gratuitous steal on glock sights: the Ameriglo FO front with Defoor black rear; gft 113 I believe is the sku.

http://www.opticsplanet.com/ameriglo-special-combinations-complete-night-sight-sets-for-glocks.html

$31.99!!!

And Opics Planet will give you free shipping if you ask.

Only 3 left at that price for "full size 19/17/34 etc" ..... it's FO time on those, I love them they are great sights in every way. I have them on my racey 34 and my owb/hd/multipurpose 17.

They also have some great night sights (hackathorns?) as an option for 60 something, but I believe in the fiber optic master race.  The Defoor rears are sweet too.

Time to FO!

Got my 30s out to the range last week and put in about 150 rds of mixed ammo. Some HPs, reloads and a few brands of JHPs, all ran perfectly through it. Recoil is a little harsher than 9mm, but not unpleasant by any means.  Ran some accuracy and some defensive type drills, and was impressed. I need some sights on it and she'll be good to go.

If you think the Gen4 30 is sweet (and it is!) then get a Gen4 21....that is one sweet shooter!
