These guns are sprung tight. I usually leave the slide locked back for a few days when I get it. Seems to help some. Should get better with time. Probably not what you want to hear, but hope it helps.

Glad I'm not the only one with that conclusion. I had BTF and they even replaced the gun only for it to reappear in the new one.  I left it locked open and replaced the
ejector and now it's gtg.

The funny thing about recommending the 30274 ejector is that the 336 ejector worked fine for years.

Exactly. I bought a new Gen 3 G17 yesterday and it has the 336 ejector, as does my 2002 Gen 3 G19. The difference is that my G19 has never once hit me with a cartridge casing no matter what it was made of or how weak or powerful the ammo was. Every casing from the first magazine fired through my new G17 barely made it out of the slide, and the ones that didn't hit my wrist and forearm hit me under the bill of my cap. It got better after a few mags, but occasionally it would hit my forehead right under my cap. I had my wife shoot it after I had put about 120 rounds through it and the casings all ejected fine. I figured if it did anything it would when she shot it because she isn't a shooter, and she's not strong either. She has shot my RTF 2 G17 before and didn't have any issues. I don't know what ejector it has in it.

I'm going to shoot a few more rounds in it before I do anything, but I may as well go ahead and order the upgraded ejector. By the way the serial # prefix on my new G17 is BBHB. Not sure of the born-on date, I haven't looked at the box yet. I

I just got a 30274 ejector and an Apex extractor for my 19.3.  I should be able to post an update tonight after test firing 200 or so rounds.

Yep, the Apex extractor fixed all of my erratic ejection problems.  This thing piles the brass in the same place and has nice strong and consistent ejection.

Yeah. Don't buy in to the limp writing bullshit. It does happen, but there are legitimate BTF issues with some Glocks.

If you want to fix it yourself, get an Apex extractor, a non-LCI spring loaded bearing, and make sure you have the latest ejector and RSA.
