I'm interested in seeing the length of G17 mags with Glock factory +2 extensions compared to mags with Taran Tactical +4's and +6's.

I've typically carried G17 mags with factory +2's (and 11 coil G22 mag springs) as reloads but it appears Taran +4's would allow for 2 more rounds without added length.  The +6's look like they would add a bit of length over the factory extensions but I'd like to see just how much it would be.  May be worth it for the extra rounds if it isn't that big of a difference.

Anyone have some extensions they could take comparison pictures of?  Pictures of mags side by side and inserted into a G17/34 would be appreciated.

Looks like the +4 is actually a little shorter than the factory +2.  Couple extra rounds without any extra length seems like a win.  The +6 doesn't look like it's too much longer though...

Where did you order the +3-4 base plates? Taran tactical seems to be sold out on the glock model

I ordered (2) taran +6 extensions for my 17 round G17 mags.  For some reason, the mags will only hold 20 rounds.  I tried using a ton of force pushing down on my mag reloader and it broke, so there is no way I'm getting more than 20 in the mag.  I wonder if they sent me the wrong spring.  

Any ideas?

I ordered from DSG. Says it just shipped today and doesn't show a backorder so I will find out when they get here Tuesday.
