Anyone done any mod work yet on them, lets see what you got.

Pics of them in the gun? Especially the +2. I reaaallly want a 43.
|
|
I have grip tape, +1 and +2 TTI extensions, the Trijicon HDs with an Orange front, a Ghost PRO in it at the moment (though I may go back to the EDGE), and I undercut the trigger-guard. An Agency Arms flat-trigger is waiting on my trigger bar to arrive, but I haven't mailed it yet and they haven't procured extra trigger bars yet.
I'll post pics in a bit. |

I've found that there's not much difference between the 5.5# and 6# as far as making it feel "stronger", but the 5# definitely makes it feel weaker. That said, I tend to use 5# springs and change them out a lot.
I've got the GHOST PRO in my G43 (had to take off a lot of material) and it's great. I'm about to put a PRO 3.3# in my G19, but plan on going from a 5# to a 6# striker spring to keep my trigger pull around 3.5lbs--right now I'm at 3.4lbs with a -minus connector and a 5# spring (with an agency trigger). |

To be honest with you I had one in my bag of parts and wanted to see how the 6# spring would affect it. It worked well but not really sure why. It was part od the Ghost ultimate trigger kit. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

The 43's trigger spring isn't like a compact or full size trigger spring (s shaped) . Looks more like a NY spring.
|
|
I have a bag of parts not sure the weight. It's a striker spring though.
|
|
Might have to try that.
A stronger striker spring would definitely ignite any primer you would use. I'm still unsure if I want to try a Pro connector in the 43. I like the Edge but the Pro seems to be completely different. Dave N |

Nice job

Spent a little bit of time with a 43 yesterday. Single undercut and stipple. May enlarge the undercut a little more before I call it done. Will be milling the slide to add front serrations and perhaps some shallow cosmetic cuts before cerakote. http://i417.photobucket.com/albums/pp258/mattsdrag95/IMAG1846.jpg http://i417.photobucket.com/albums/pp258/mattsdrag95/IMAG1847.jpg http://i417.photobucket.com/albums/pp258/mattsdrag95/IMAG1850_1.jpg View Quote |

TXPO: I loved the one you have with the slide done by Mod1 (?). That was a beautiful G43.

Here is mine I recently did work on myself. Grip stippling, Memory Stippling, Double Trigger Undercut, Trigger Guard Stippling Underneath, Mag extension stippling. Edge connector installed. Last things will be Amerilgo Spartan night sights installed (on the way) and a polish job of the internals. Also waiting on GlockMade triggers to release their 43 trigger bar. Internally, it will be setup like my CC G19 and 17. Waiting to see what other company's produce +1 and +2 extensions as well as I am not a fan of the TTI variant. Hoping Dawson Precision does something crafty! http://i243.photobucket.com/albums/ff186/thespecialist1719/g43.jpg View Quote Broseph, that gun is beautiful. |

^Thanks. I really am liking this 43. I really hope I can put a GlockMade Trigger into it...I ended up buying two TTI +1s and they feel great and have worked flawlessly. Not interested in the +2s. After installing the Spartan sights, It really is a nice shooter.

You have to buy the shoe and install it on the stock bar. I highly polished my trigger bar with metal polish and a dremel wheel. The trigger is adjustable for pretravel and overtravel for the perfect pull. Check the website. It explains the adjustment. It really makes a big difference. |

The smooth trigger is the only mod I do to my Glocks other than night sights. I'm surprised anyone even gave a standard smooth trigger for this gun a thought. The market kept me from buying a G36 for years because I refuse to use the factory serrated trigger or pay an absurd amount for an aluminum version. I also wouldn't trust a swapped trigger as the pin is a friction hold and not designed to be removed. |

The market kept me from buying a G36 for years because I refuse to use the factory serrated trigger or pay an absurd amount for an aluminum version. I also wouldn't trust a swapped trigger as the pin is a friction hold and not designed to be removed. I understand your concerns. Trust me that pin is not going to come out. If you want some extra insurance just drop some superglue in the hole. The aluminum trigger is not a standard trigger. It is fully adjustable for over travel and pretravel. $50 for a adjustable trigger shoe really isn't out of line for what your getting. The only reason LWD doesn't sell a full kit is because Glock hasn't released the G43 trigger bar for retail sale. I called Smyna and asked them since they can produce the pistols and components in the USA why they don't develop a smooth trigger for the U.S. Market as a optional accessory. The service rep/tech said he would pass the suggestion to managment. I don't see why a aftermarket company can't make a kit with a copy of the standard shoe and pin that you can install on the bar yourself with the same style blind pin. Seems simple enough. Maybe one of the aftermarket accessory companies can produce one. Seems like it's would be a great seller and profitable. I'm sure it would cost pennies to manufacture a poly trigger shoe and they would sell them for $10-$15 a piece. Probably have to be just slightly different to avoid copyright infringement. The molds and tooling would incur a initial production cost so I can see where manufacturers would be leary to produce something with no return profit. |
