Try remembering S&W's gen3 system. GLOCK is easy compared to that.

I have never had trouble keeping track of the Glock models/variants (C, SF, TB, MOS, etc.).  A lot easier than Sig or CZ IMO.  Then there are 1911s where everything has some tacticool name with "Operator" in it.  I'd much rather keep up with G17C, G34MOS, G42, etc. than P226 Ultra Super Tactical Match X-Five, CZ75P3.14159, Nighthawk Stealth Force Recon Operator, etc.

I kind of came up with an easy way to identify Glocks and got some on board with the naming scheme.  Here is how I do the identification.
Say you have a Glock 19 Gen4 you can easily say a G19.4, or Glock 21SF that would be a G21.3SF same goes for every model.... Glock 17 Gen1 G17.1 it is quick to type easy to identify model and generation and if it is a special model like MOS C SF etc just append to the end.  It is not rocket science and Glock probably has one of the easiest systems.

Thats not quite what I mean
They are all over the board with the numbering scheme

But this helps me alot, with the numbers and calibers.
