Entirely unrelated to the Glock mags, but it's being discussed so here's the new sand colored PMAG.

My guess based on their RIT dye comment is that it's going to be similar in color to B5's FDE. Probably on the lighter side.

I'm wondering if it's just the native color of the polymer they are using, some are a light tan color.

It definitely does look more like the raw polymer beads.

After 15 rounds hopefully you have gotten to your rifle!

Meh- you only need one G-19 mag.  After 15 bangs, it don't matter if the spare mags stick out.

But if I do have to reload, I want the magazines to sit flush so it doesn't look goofy. I don't care about the extra rounds so much as looking cool.

I found an old thread where that was discussed:

.... offer the items in a natural state (no color) which is a very light creamy brown....

I handled the gL9 mag at shot show.

It inserted smoothly and dropped free.

It felt slick.  It felt solid.

I did not try to disassemble one in the booth.  I should have thought of that.

I wonder if these will work with aftermarket +5/6 baseplates

"The new GL9 mag disassembles quite a bit easier than the OEM Glock mag
due to the redesigned locking plate. Because oft his feature floor
plates designed for the OEM Glock magazine will not work. We plan on
having speedplates and extenders for the GL series as a logical
extension to the line." LINK to Magpul post.

Even better - maybe their extensions won't cost $40+ like Arredondo, Taran, etc.

In for 10 mags.

I have 10 G18 mags, 10 G19 mags, a handful of G17 mags. So there are 3 2 ways to look at this:

1) I have more than enough glock mags

2) I obviously need more G17 mags

3) Ooooh Magpul!

in for a 10 pack

Does anyone know where/if we can pre order these? If they come out "late spring 2015", I dont wanna wait until December to get a couple.

Witness holes on the back would be nice, or some means of checking it..

Same here. For running drills and shooting USPSA where round count is key....a bit of an oversight by Magpul.   Unless they can't make it work due to reasons of strength of the mag.

The hole on the side of the mag appears to be an attempt at that.

My guess is that it would screw up the rigidity of the mag, seeing how there is no metal liner inside.

And probably drive the price up as a result of the added manufacturing complexity.
