I found that wet sanding with some oil (versus water) really cut down on the time and effort needed for polishing this colored frame. Attached File

You just need to melt it back smooth with a spade bit in the wood burner. I've redone several pistols this way. That way you aren't thinning anything down. Only takes a few minutes and long smooth passes to smooth it all back out.

Thank you. No frame work yet but there is internal work along with our NDZ slide and Zaffiri barrel. As well our own cerakoted pins, and extended break down lever cerakoted in green. And our +2 magazine plate. Also pictured is our own rear slide plate
