Where are the good places to get

magazines,

+2 extension

and +1 followers for the G42?

Are there more than one brand of each?
Will Promag be making 10 rounders soon?

Galloway precision has a +1 follower (and spring) that is much more robust than previous versions (like for the LCP).  I have 300-400 rds through it in ine mag and 100 in another and it's been 100%.
Ghost sells a +2 extension with a new spring--I got mine at Galloway.  That has also been 100% but so far only have like 50rds through it,  it's my backup carry mag.
I personally think if anything, these improve reliability--as the glock OEM springs were sometimes (most likely) a bit too tight causing malfunctions (as one guy documented on youtube ).

Have you tried to combine the two for a +3 magazine?

I scored a few spare mags this weekend at a local gun show for $20 apiece out the door. I'm thinking for that price I can experiment with at least one. Has anyone tried to shorten the factory follower, and maybe clip a few coils off the spring?

I've thought about adding the +1 to the +2 extension, but last time I tried this--with a ruger sr22 pistol--it failed.
I may do it for Ss&Gs at two me point, but I'm fine with only an 8rd mag as my backup--truth be told, I usually just carry 7+1.

I figure there'll be a +4 or a 12rd happy stick along soon, for those of us who hate reloading dinky 7rd mags....or, worse, the OEM 6rd mags.

HOBBYDAD:  are those "01" marked mags?!

I'll check them when I get home from work. I know my G42 was a first run gun, and the mags that came with the it are ground differently at the top than the mags I just purchased.

I have 5 of the magguts +1 conversions.
Hundreds of rounds with no issues.

BTW
Magguts follower and +2 baseplate DOES = +3

9+1 rounds in about 3 seconds at 5 yards is fun.  Shot 50 rounds of blazer without issue.  More testing later.

Very good to see.   Have you done a drop test with it?

Since the +2 uses the stock baseplate and baseplate retainer, I imagine its very similar performance to stock.

If glock only made another 9mm caliber handgun that had high capacity magazines....

It would be nice to have a couple extra round of .380 out of that small package though..

My mags are marked "33249" over "02"

What the significance of 01 vs 02?

What magazine spring for that combo?

The spring from the +2 baseplate, but it does not fit the metal follower as good as the magguts spring.  It is negligible though.

So far all hardware has been fine except in my in-laws BRAND new 42.  He had a few malfunctions in 100 rounds.

It's a pocket pistol. It's supposed to be small and concealable.

Here lets put extendoz on it and make it bigger.
I can understand a plus one follower. It keeps the 42 within its original footprint.

Why would you even want a 10 round magazine?
Even if Promag did make one eventually I would never trust my life with it.

I want a 30 round fun stick for the range

Loading 6 and 7 round magazines sucks for practice.

9 round (6+1+2) is good for both spare mag and range.
