i bought a used glock 27 that the previous owner's dog chewed (yes i got a good deal).

since it's a 27 i can't cut it down any further. but the grip is in tough shape. best thoughts on how to clean it up??

i'm thinking of just sanding it down as smooth as i can get it then putting a pachmyr grip on it

I had a guy bring a G-22 in the shop his dog got to.  He wanted us to sand it down and clean up the chew marks.  Instead we sent it back to Glock for him and they just replaced the frame and we gave the dog a rawhide bone when he came to pick the gun up a few weeks later.

I'd contact Glock they might replace it. Any pics?

I thought it was illegal to leave a gun out where a dog under the age of 18 years could chew on it.

Good thing the dog didn't pull the trigger.  Paws must have not fit in the trigger guard.

Dog should get paid for the stippling.  It's only fair.

Glock will replace that. I think they charge $75.

imo its not that bad, some time under the soder and it would be as if it was stippled from scratch.
to each his own.

+1...Looks better than some of the home stippling jobs I've seen on here.

I would built it up with JB Weld, leave the sharp fringes and pack JB Weld in it, sand and paint

HA!

kind of like Bubbles did the stippling...

i'm leaning towards building it up with devcon or acraglass then putting a 40-9 barrel into it

That frame is toast. You need a new one. Id call glock and set up a replacement.

I would try to sand it down, then get creative with a wood burner or soldering iron and do a stippling to "hide and blend". TAKE YOUR TIME- and don't try to do this while you are watching TV. You may want to "warm up" on some random pieces of plastic, toy guns, whatever. Then, if it doesn't work out or you f it up worse, get it replaced by Glock.
