Saw this today on another site. At 1:21 he says he has heard a new 9mm single stack pistol out later this year? Don't know if this is true but.....

His remark might just have us thinking ahead to the upcoming Shot Show in Jan-2015.

I want someone to come out with a 9mm the same size as my LCP. I'd even be happy with a 5 round mag if that's what it takes.

I cant see why they wouldn't from a business standpoint. But they will wait for the demand for the g42 to die down before they do. That way they can capitalize on dual purchases. If the 9mm and .380 came out at the same time the 9mm would cannibalize the .380 sales. If the .380 is out first then people will buy it, and then also the 9mm when that comes out later.

I have the Nano also. I think if Beretta would make it in 45 acp it would be a serious runner to others.
I love my Glocks dont get me wrong. I think the Nano has some pro's going for CCW. Im use to the longer trigger on the Nano and prefer it for CCW. Its also goof for +P ammo. |

I have a glock 19 and 42 and a beretta nano. The nano feels like a single stack 9mm glock. Worth looking in to for the people that want a 9mm single stack. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

I love my G19, it's my favorite gun (EDC/home defense/everything!) It gets hot here in the summer & I would love to have a gun that I could slip in my (shorts) pockets. |

I'll believe it when I hear it from a Glock representative. Ya, because they have a history of knowing what's really going on with Glock. I'm not talking about an armorer or distributor rep. I mean someone who works for Glock and is making an official announcement. |
|
I will believe it when it is an official announcement. Word was when they were floating the 42 that it would be a 9mm single stack.
That being said the only logical choice left would be a single stack 9mm and then closely followed by a single stack 40. |

View Quote Well said. Sales people from Glock know what they're doing. This way they get to sell a hell of a lot more firearms. I'm not going to be buying a G42 (or any .380ACP for that matterr) but if they came up with a single stack 9mm... HTR. |

This a fun recurring rumor but Glock has waited so long for this, I have other guns that fill this need in my world.
Wake me up when GLOCK comes out with a 9mm or 10mm Glock carbine that uses the same mags I already have. Don't tell me about the kits or the Keltec. I want a GLOCK carbine. |
|
Its a great idea and I am pretty sure they were introducing the 380 first then the 9 to cash in.

If the single stack 9 is as thin as the 42 with just a bit longer mag for 7rds (so a bit more height), I'd consider it.
But I'm not one of those guys who can comfortably carry a 19 or 34 or whatever. Even the Shield, which I love with a full apex kit, is a bit too big and heavy for me to carry 24/7, 365. But the LCP was a bit to small to really shoot accurate and fast past 10Y, and especially at 25Y. I love the g42 so much (with 7+1 or 8+1) that the 9mm would have to be pretty amazing for me to replace this--but then, unlike many, I'm fine with carrying .380 versus 9mm, since I personally gain speed, precision and capacity in a gun size that I will always carry. The P9 is a close in size, but I hate the trigger. |

I can put 3-4 rounds on a target in the time it takes me to put two on target with a small nine. |

I'll say this again. If the American consumer wants it, Glock will never make it.

I just haven't found the right price on one yet. Plus, I need another 17L at a good price first since airborneveteranteenagedaughter won a match with my brand new pistol and has claimed it as hers after I fired exactly 3 rounds through it (just enough to show her the gun was fine and she needed to cowgirl up and quit limp wristing it). |

I think it will be better for American consumers after GG kicks the bucket. I get the impression that he likes our money but doesn't like us.

Doubt he woulda been making more money selling us curtain rods

Since Bill's death we've seen the Ruger Scout rifle in 308, the Charger, Ruger 10/22 & Charger BX-25 & 25x2 magazines, a piston driven AR in 223 and 7.62/308 and that's just off the top of my head. You get the idea. Founders are great until they're not great. |

View Quote I like my 30s for work but often carry my LCP for concealment reasons. I have been reading a lot lately about the new Ruger LC9s and stopped by my LGS on the way home from playing golf today. Would you believe as luck would have it he had just gotten in an LC9s Ruger and it had a GREAT trigger. It came home with me for $360 OTD. I have already ordered a Desantis Nemesis holster for it that will be here in a week along with a spare magazine. I think this will be a perfect "in between" gun for when the 30s is too big and the LCP does not seem to be enough gun. In the hand is feels great and seems to be a perfect single stack 9MM for what I need....<><....:) P.S. - Ruger makes a 2 round extension for the magazine that brings it up from 7+1 capacity to 9+1, however for pocket carry I think I'll stick with the 7 round magazine and the flat (no pinky finger extension) floorplate. I have large hands but it feels good to me that way so far, but I have not fired it yet... |

The single stack 9 should be out by years end from what I've been told.Dealer I know has a close friend at Glock, tends to have accurate info.Let's hope for the best .

Didn't someone do some accurate measurements on the 42 mag and it sure looks like it would do double duty as a 9mm mag with a few changes? What's .380 OAL vs. 9mm OAL. Is the FML 42 mags the same thickness as say a 17 or 19 mag? Me thinks me need a 42 in the near future.

Well, they might be 700,000 behind, but at a gun show in Richmond, Va, and at all the gun dealers in central Va. there are PLENTY of Glocks. The only shortage might be the 42, but I know where there are a few.
