There is no reason to at all. The trigger guard is the retention point so both pistols will work equally well in the holster.

yup mine is for a 23 but my 19 and 27 both fit. it will work and i love the M TAC.

My 26 does not fit as snugly as my 19 in my MTAC. The 19 snaps in while the 26 sort of wedges in. Both are gen four pistols.
