Just picked up a Gen4 34 not all that long ago and it's got a case of the pig nose (Frame rubbing on the slide).

So what's the best cure for this, short of going full on WECSOG?

Dip the end of the frame in boiling water for 30 secs then press it flat on a countertop until it cools.

Don't worry about it...

Don't look at it or put a weapon light on it.

Is this like a made-up thing?  Pig nose?

Seriously.

It's made up that this is in any way an issue.  Just leave it alone.

Meh, just an aesthetic thing. I know some use a heat gun to do it, but it's more effort than it's worth to deal with my OCD.

Not that it matters, I'm just curious as to what it is.  I have 3 Glocks and never heard of it.

Simple.  Remove the slide, boil some water, dip the front dust cover on the frame up to the end of the light rail in the boiling water for 5-7 seconds to soften it a bit and then immediately flip the frame over and press the flat upper surfaces on the counter and hold it for 20 seconds until it cools.  That will 'relieve' the front curl.  I did that to my G21 in 2004 and it's never had the issue again.
I first noticed it when I added my longslide to my G21 making it a G21L in mid 2004:

Note it's gone by the time I installed the conversion barrel and made it a G20L in late 2004:

Most recent picture of my G20L last year and it's still straight:

Thanks, COSteve, I just did all six of mine in less than ten minutes.  Great tip!

Try to buy one without pig nose.  Easier said than done with today's limited availability (if at all).  My 17 has it bad and it's just barely noticeable on my 20sf.  Straight as an arrow on my 26.

Might try the boiling method on the 17, can't see it hurting anything critical.
