I've noticed this on all of my Glocks. Still haven't had a malfunction yet.
My opinion? If it's still shooting 100%, then no need to worry. That being said, I'd like to here from those more knowledgeable on the mechanics about this. |

Bluetick gave the correct answer. The half-moon cut is only to facilitate assembly.

Once the pistol is assembled, the spring guide will ride against the front edge of the frame in the frame channel, just ahead of of the breach block, as designed. It never rides against the barrel when in use.

good to know, thanks for the input guys, guess the only problem i have now is i need to load some more ammo for it!!

As others have said, completely normal. Yours does what every other Glock is supposed to do.

The first semi-circle notch is just for re-assembly. The second is the normal operating notch that it defaults to after assembly. You are definately good to go.
