First Glock, actually first pistol. Not thrilled I overpaid but that's my own doing. Will be replacing oem sights with something decent.

I guess I should add a little bit of native born Glock goodness to this thread.

Finished up all I plan to do with this Gen 5, with the exception of a set of night sights I'll be getting when I determine which ones I want for a Gen 5, and maybe an extended slide stop. The magwell is especially nice, covering up the crescent cutout in the grip.

Couple more of the magwell area, some people have asked what the fitment between the Taran Tactical +5 base pad is like with the magwell VS standard mags. Both fit perfectly fine, like a perfect glove.

Thanks man. I've always liked the minimalist, "business" look that a stock Glock has so I try to keep it simple, but I do need a threaded barrel and I just couldn't cope with the cutout in the grip so I decided on the magwell. I know some people don't mind the cutout, and that's fine, but everyone has different shaped and sized hands, and the rigid edge of the cutout rubbed right against my pinky which made it a constant annoyance when shooting. I don't like having to "think" about my grip when I pick up a gun, or having to find the sweet spot, I just like to pick it up and have it fit like a glove, and now it does.

That’s my favorite daily carry.
Might have to get a 43X or 48 with tax return.

Is that FLUX brace really worth it? I know 90% of people who probably buy one expect to use it as a stock when no one is looking, but even if you did that, it looks way too short to be even remotely effective. So that leaves resting it on your cheek or arm, and based on the videos I've watched it looks like resting it on the cheek would be extremely annoying (with the recoil causing it to bounce back and hit you in the cheek after each shot), and resting on the side of the forearm just doesn't seem to make any difference (although if I bought one, that's how I'd attempt to use it). Also, if you actually used one of these for conceal carry wouldn't it just add more complication to the user in a stressful situation... and what if you accidentally used it as a stock in the shooting, would the court try to crucify you for it? Maybe I fail to see the advantage of a pistol brace because I've never used one, I don't know. I'm not knocking you for owning it or anything, I'm just curious if it really is worth it, because I like the look of it but don't know if I could justify spending $260 if there isn't much benefit.

Since this is a pic thread...

It's completely usable as a stock. You just have to focus on keeping your head back and it's totally fine.

Regarding the legality of it today, it's not illegal to use it as a stock. It wasn't designed as a stock and wasn't sold as a stock so it's good to go. No different that AR15 pistol braces.

The 17 pictured above isn't my carry gun anymore and has been retired to T&E and training only. So it's fun to try out new products and let people know what I think. I don't see much of a practical purpose for this brace for the average civilian but it's cool and fun so why not?
