Nice collection.  What is the scoop with the XD?  I have been thinking about a micro.

XD is a used gun that I picked up from a feller here in MT.

Hardly shot, if at all when I bought it.

Ergonomics are very nice by my standards.  But you absolutely need the grip extensions to shoot this seriously.  Relatively hi cap. at 10 rounds.

in a word, get it.  if you dont like it then trade it off on something else

I can't find that bi-tone, .40, XD, on their website.

I'm from the "any gun is better than no gun" camp.  Here's my "always gun":

NAA Mini Revolver in .22 Magnum.  It's good out to about 10 yards, longer than that and I'm running.  I carry it anytime I'm wearing clothes (when legal, of course).  I also carry a SA XD9 SC when it's concealable.

ETA: Pocket holster is KC's Custom Gunleather.

What's the trigger like on the NAA?

I always thought it looked odd.

It's got about an eighth inch of pull.  I'm not sure how many pounds of pressure it takes, but it's firm enough that you have to brace the top of your trigger finger on the frame forward of the trigger and kinda roll the bottom of you finger toward the trigger.  Otherwise you'll pull the muzzle down as you shoot.

It is a knock-off of the Threat Solutions UCR, which is the best IWB available, IMO.

They arn't smooth on the back like the Threat Solutions UCR. The Desantis Scorpion has the outline of the pistol on the inside that touches your body. I have been using mine for a week now and sometimes forget I'm wearing it. No complaints so far, it has been 100% and rock solid. Drawing and reholstering is nice.

The big plus with the Desantis Scorpion is if you break one of the clips on it you can just replace it. The UCR if you break a clip you gotta wait 4 months for a whole new. The UCR is all one piece. The Scorpion is one piece except for the star key mounted clips.

Also I ordered mine from Desantis and it shipped in about 24hrs.

Na, he puts repairs/replacements first. If the clips break on the UCR, they will usually be replaced with bolt on clips. Turn around is usually less than two weeks. They replaced my UCR and I had the new one in 10 days.

I tried to order a UCR for over two months with no response from anyone at ThreatSolutions, so I went ahead and ordered the Scorpion which like you say is a copy of the UCR. I have heard the owner of ThreatSolutions was hospitalized for some time and that he is back in business making holsters now. I will order a UCR if someone answers the phone or my emails next time.

That being said, I am very pleased with the DeSantis Scorpion, and it is the best IWB holster I have ever tried, all things considered.

Good to know. I'll order one if the 4 month back order ever comes down and just use my Desantis as a back up. I was a bit dissapointed when the Desantis wasn't smooth on the inside but it hasn't given me any discomfort.

I can't get my guns thin enough for my satisfaction.  I swear by my Glock 36 and still think THAT is too thick.  But I found it's the best (slim profile, high test, simple design, and rugged as hell) CCW gun on the market.

8 rounds of 45auto on tap & in a tight package...gotta love it.  I carry it in an 'inside the pant' Uncle Mike holster.  If I have the option of wearing more clothing I use a Fobus paddle hoslter.
