I have in the past and still own one.  What would be your question?

No question. I just know its a big gun and I happen to carry it and wanted to see how many others do also. I've maybe seen and met maybe one other person that does.

I conceal a 228 every day.  Pretty close.  Not my first choice but it's my duty gun.

Gotcha.  I switched from the 226 to a 1911 for a long time and in the last couple years have gone to a HK P30 or P2000 because of weight and size.  The grip length on the P226 was the only thing that gave me grief because of my size.

once in an OWB Fobus paddle with a longer jacket.  Now I carry the Makarov or sp2022 in a hybrid holster.

I carry one in a Kramer IWB. Yes it's a large frame by today's standards however I use to carry a 5" 1911 or 4" 629 so it's not that big to me.

Carried the 229 and the 226 in a Galco Concealable and Royal Guard.  Found them to be fairly easy to conceal but a little heavy.

Carried a 226 or 229 for awhile, decided if I had to actually use them I would cry as they were toted away in an evidence bag so I switched recently to a Sig 250 Compact that I picked up at the local gun shop for 350 bones. When I carried the 229 and 226 I used an Everyday brand IWB all leather holster which worked well.
