Anybody use a mag extension for CCW? I carry a G19 AWB, I will have no problem concealing the additional length. (giggity)  I'm thinking of adding a TTI small mag extension to add 3 rounds. Anybody have any experience with this setup? Overkill? Am I being super tactical cool guy? Thanks for the input.

Uhhhhhh you are aware that G17 mags fit, right?

If you plan on using 17 mags why not carry a 17?

I am aware that 17 mags fit. I do not like the way it looks or feels with the mag not the same size as the grip where it extends past the magwell. If I had a 17 I would just carry that, since I carry a 19 and do not own a 17 I'm looking at these options. Thanks for the input.

Just load it up with a g17 mag, back up mags should be 33 rounders obviously.

I actually prefer to use the 33 rounders as a baton when I'm practicing my ninja skills

Glock 17 mag. Most aftermarket extensions tend not tl be reliable. Plus the spring wasnt made for them. Ive seen people not get all the rounds in amd cheap extensions fall off when fully loaded. You could easily trade your glock 19 for a 17 any day of the week or just buy glock 17 mags

Thought about those x-grip mag sleeves on a G17 mag? Will fill in that gap and give you the reliability of a factory baseplate/spring.

Only issue when carrying them upside down is that the sleeves occasionally slip, you could probably had some electrical tape around the base of the mag and that'd create enough friction to always keep them in place thought... Just my .02

It doesn't add rounds, but the GAP plates on my G19 mags complete the grip perfectly. At least for me.

Thanks for all the info! Sounds like the 17 mags are the safest/easiest approach.

I like TTI extentions, but in this case 17 mags are probably your best and least expensive option.

Edited to fix autocorrect.

I carry a flush mag in my 19 with a second 17 mag as a backup. best of both worlds?

I agree with the hummingbird.  Flush for carry (prints less), but WHEN I carry a backup mag (which isn't often), it's a 17...sometimes a 17+2.

OR if I'm going to the middle of, say, a huge, PITCH DARK park at 2am, in a not-so-great area, to retrieve a leash that my wife left on a bench, but needs for the morning dog-walk, then I carry a 33rd mag in the gun (of course that was pretty much an illegal "open-carry" situation).

There is a company making sleeves for using big glock mags in smaller Glocks

+1 on the grip adapters. A&G & X-Grip both make them, and there may be others as well.

This is an A&G on a G19 mag in a G26:
