for anybody who says just carry a light in you pocket i already do :)

so im trying to figure out how to carry a pistol with a light bearing holster IWB
i also make my own kydex holsters. the problem i'm running into is because the light is thicker than pistol the trigger guard isn't completely enclosed it always winds up looking like this. which to me is unacceptable i just wouldn't feel safe.

and when you make your own this is what you do before you mold it

any way to get around this?

no there isn't. You have to have somewhere for the light body to pass through if you want to unholster the weapon.

All light-bearing holsters are going to fit like that.  I don't find it to be a big deal, personally.  Just verify that there is nothing in the way of the holster (jacket zipper, shirt tail, etc.) before holstering the gun.  That's part of the reason why my AIWB for my G19 + APL is orange.  I wanted a bright color so that anything that could get into the trigger guard would stand out more.

Yep mine looks like that as well. Just be careful.

OP I do some Kydex holsters for mine as well and I bring the Kydex closer to the grip. Inside of middle finger touches holster when drawing. This protects trigger well from interference laterally. No way around the gap off the side of the weapon though. Think you can get that a little higher on the weapon and maybe help a bit.

I'm not sure how you can feel unsafe about that.....  When I did carry a pistol light IWB I never had a issue.
