So does anyone here carry a sig mk25 concealed? I have carried a glock 22 before an was wondering if the mk25 is possible? I was looking at tt gun leather holsters and noted an option for the sig p226 x5, does that mean they make a holster for the mk25?

Thanks for that link but the holster wasn't/isn't my biggest concern. I was more so wondering about peoples experience carrying the mk25 or p226 concealed. How much worse is it than my g22? I have other guns but want something different and this is an option for me.

I carry a P228. It's as big as I'd personally want to get.

Can you though? Of course. Some people would say I'm crazy and that the 228 is "too big". Just depends what you feel comfortable with. The Glock and SIG seem to be close enough in size.

A leather holster for a railed 226 should fit the MK25 just fine, though I'd ask the holster maker just to be safe.

Thanks. I was thinking they were close enough as well.

I carry my mk25 concealed in a JM Custom Kydex IWB version 3 holster occasionally without any trouble as long as I am wearing a looser fitting shirt.  I switch between my mk25, P229, P224 and P227 depending primarily on attire and location.

I have never owned a Glock (and probably never will, I love my Sigs too much to stray) so I cannot compare.

I have a friend who recently started carrying a MK25, complete with threaded barrel, as his everyday CCW piece.  He's been using an old, half-worn-out supertuck intended for a P250 with reasonable success.  I'm a good 5" taller than him and couldn't possibly pull it off comfortably, but he conceals it very well, even in shorts and a T-shirt.

I have a P226 in my rotation.  I carry either a Glock 19, full sized 1911 or the 226. None are too tough with a good holster and a good belt.  I'm in jeans and a polo at work, or jeans and a t-shirt everywhere else. T

he 226 has the grip length of the full sized 1911 and the width of the Glock 19 so that's something to think about.  I have IWB holster with a lot of cant to help me hide the length of the grip and it works well.

I carried a P226 w/o rail for about 9 months in between a G23 and a G19. It can be done. Will it be easier to see that a Glock compact or similar size, probably. That just means that you have to find a good holster for it if you don't already. I would  seriously look at getting a good CCW belt, possibly one that can be kydex reinforced.

I miss my W. German 226

I do as well.  Not sure I would want to go any larger but it can be done.  Right holster, belt and cover garment and just about anything is doable.  Just a question of how practical and comfortable it will be.

John Johnston from Ballistic Radio has carried a G34 and a Mk25 AIWB. Both in Dark Star Gear holsters.

I carry a P226 Combat in a Kramer #2 IWB. It rides well and I don't find it too bulky or heavy. I use to carry a S&W 4" 629 now that weighed too much for all day carry.

FWIW OP I don't have a M25, I wish I did it is my grail pistol, but I do carry a S&W M&P mid size .45 ACP and other pistols at times.  IMHO it is all in the holster and your clothing also plays a part too.  To effectively carry concealed you should alter your attire IMO.  I prefer leather, OWB, belt loop style holsters.  I have had great luck with Galco brand holsters specifically the Combat Master open top style, it works for me but to each their own.  FYI I have no connection to the above companies I just use some of their kit.  Edited content specifics.

I used to carry a p220 sao.  I switched to a g19 and with ny gun laws I switched to a g26.  I personally feel the g19 was more comfortable to carry but that's me.  Right belt holster and clothes and you will be good to go.  I'm 6'4" 285 so when I say the g19 is more comfortable that's my opinion.  A thin person might disagree or a shorter guy.....you really won't know until you try.

I carry an MK25 every day. I'm about 6'3" and hover just north of 200 pounds. I carry it AIWB with a Galco Triton holster for a standard 226 and a Crossbreed leather belt. It fits just fine with no interference from the 1913 rail. the only noticeable thing is sometimes there is the slightest wrinkle in the shirt from the bottom of the grip

My normal carry attire is a proper fitting t-shirt or polo, pants or shorts, and that crossbreed belt.

When I started carrying this way I was about 220 pounds. Since I've lost some weight t actually carries much better. The hammer doesn't dig in as much and my belly doesn't push the top away from me.

Weight hasn't really been an issue for me. The proper belt and holster Do a lot to mitigate the weight. And the length and width are manageable, but I'm a lager person.

I started with a Galko V-Hawk for a Sringfield XD 9/40. The pistol fit great but the long grip carried about 4:00 would tend to print if I bent a little at the waist. I felt like I was adjusting my shirt too much.

The MK25 can be carried easily and comfortably. But maybe I feel like this cause it's my only handgun right now. "When all you have is a hammer," right?

I carry a 226 and a 220 in a Galco KingTuck. Don't usually have any problems

I carried my MK25 for a few months.  It was too big and print worrying all the time, and I could not run with my dog.

Moved to a Nano, like how small and ccw friendly it is, but don't like striker fired pistols it turns out.

I now have a P239.  Awaiting my holster.

I carry a MK25 daily for 14+ hours a day in a JM Custom Kydex AIWB holster. Carrying it is no different than carrying any other service sized handgun.

Agreed 100%

To me the P226R is LW

I think it is  easier to carry Large pistol IWB   4.5inch barrel

Than it is a 3 to 3.5  compact pistol.

Some of the 3-3.9  IWB holster feel like they will flip over because they were made with a high to medium ride height.

Man is it hard to find a low ride , zero cant, pull dot loops IWB holster like the excellent retired bladetech  IWB .

BTW glad Im not out for 14hrs a day anymore.

Thanks for all the info. Went ahead and picked up the other handgun I really wanted a Springfield Armory TRP. It carries nice in a milt sparks vm2. I guess my MK25 purchase will have to wait. Gotta do back to school shopping for the kiddos.

Not a SIG, But I CC a full-size Beretta 92-style gun (90-TWO to be exact). With a good belt and holster, it's not that bad.

I carry a P226 or P227 in a Kramer#3 Horsehide and Ares Gear Aegis belt as my EDC. They carry just fine.
