THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT I know there's a break in period, but how do you go about doing this properly? Simply leave it in the holster alot until its looser, or are there any tips for this? |

Put the unloaded pistol in the plastic bag the holster came in.
Reholster the bagged, unloaded pistol and leave it overnight. That worked for me. My guess is that you will love the holster, once you break it in. |

Agreed with what was posted above. This is what is recommended by the company as well.
You will love your VMII. It is a truly excellent holster. |

DON'T put anything like silicone or any leather treatment product on your VM2!! Do as the others have suggested and use the 'bag' technique. You will love this holster! I have one for my Beretta 92 and it does a great job of carrying the big 9mm comfortably.

Day 2 and its getting better.
I put the Sig in the bag and then in the holster. Took it out today after work and while it's still a bit stiff, I at least don't need someone pulling from the other end to get it out. |

The gun wrapped in plastic will do the work. This practice has worked on every leather holster I've had. |

Yep, just keep doing that every night. It won't take long before you won't feel the need to do it anymore.

I just got mine for my 5" 1911, and the holster makes the gun disappear on me, while being the most comfortable holster I've ever worn. |

My vm2 came so tight that a week of holstering with a bag on didn't really help so I called up and they directed me to bend the metal mouth a little, opening it up. Worked like a charm, just don't bend too much!

And it will irreversibly soften the leather as well as break it down and cause it to lose shape and tension. Leather treatment is a great way to ruin a purpose built leather holster. The concerns have nothing to do with cosmetics. It can't be undone. |

If the builder says "Don't do it" then I tend to listen to them. |
