Are they all great quality? I've always been leery of Century Arms... but I think there are other importers/manufacturers.

You mean the Czechpoint ones?

The VZ2008 was a great bargain at $399. Some had fixable issues but I don't believe they are an option any longer.

The Czechpoint ones are supposed to be top notch. The Century VZ2008's have a middling reputation however mine has run like a top.

I picked up a new Century VZ2008. Fit and finish are superb, looks absolutely great and new. I hope I don't have the issues others have alluded to but I am hopeful. For $400 it is a good deal, more than that and I think you are just paying for hype.

I have an early VZ 2008 that was sold with a tabbed receiver, before the patent or whatever was enforeced.

I have two Czechpoint/D-Techniks.

They all run fine.

i like my century vz, i put a solid stock on it, all i need to do is get it tabbed, the gremlin has only showed up once or twice during rapid fire.

I think I bought my Century VZ58 for $399 with 5 mags, pouch and acleaning kit a few years back. I don't have any issues with the rifle, one of the magazines does feed right for me. Other then that my VZ is trouble free and is fairly accurate. I prefer to shoot it over my AKs.

I have had a Czechpoint VZ58 for the past two years and it runs 100%.  Very reliable.

Czechpoint seem to have a higher quality than the century arms versions. I'd never had issues with either one of mine and once you get a V58 you never want to use an AK again.

I have a Czech point and a OOW VZ2000 the OOW gun is nicer than the CzP but it was also $1300 before the imports and Century clones .
