That's awesome man...Congrats on quality built VZ 58.  Got a heads  up notice 6-27-15 that will be in stock....and once again "Poof" all gone.  Close up pics please
Tracking my VZ 58 compact pistol and got notice today "out for delivery"

What I've been noticing whenever czechpoint has any of their VZs for sale they don't last long on their site.  A reputable company as czechpoint has been deserves it.  Now build a semiauto UK59 and I will be in

they must be a small company cause i have not seen many of their guns for sale on their web site. Last 4-6 months it just been ten or so specialty builds though i wish they were all nitrided. I dont really see myself buying one cause for that price i can buy a century and about 4.5k rounds of play time. Would like to have a czech made one though

Are they $1000 better than the VZ2008?

Czechpoint just recently (this year) started making their own builds. They are top notch from what I can tell. They get ones built in the Czech Rep from time to time too. I don't know how many, but it certainly doesn't seem like much in total numbers. The nitriding is a new thing for them. It's not correct for the gun. (It should be paint on top of park). But it looks nice.

Maybe, maybe not. Now the ones they put up recently. The ones with the beechwood furniture. The beechwood furniture is a bit on the rare side. That stuff commands a bit more money. But it all depends on many, many factors. Overall, the Century guns seem to perform OK. At least after people get the bolt carriers tabbed. The CP guns have better fit, finish, quality control, etc. It's like the argument between the $500 WASR or the one-thousand dollar Arsenal. But generally get the job done. But it depends on what you're looking for and how nice a rifle you want.

Czechpoint doesn't seem to have a problem selling all the stuff they get though.

Buick to a BMW. VZ2008 to a VZ58, that's what it's like.

Here it is.

Overall it's 1" shorter than the VZ2008, the Ironwood stock is also slightly thicker than the standard stock.

Sweet rifle. How were you able to snag it? I also want a 58 to go with my 2008 but czechpoint always seems to be out of them.

Right place right time, as simple as that. I also was waiting to get one of them for over a year.

Looks great! I've been thinking about buying a set of ironwood furniture for my VZ2008.

Absolutely beautiful with that salt bath intrided finish along with the original beach wood stock now that's how a vz58 should be built.
My compact vz58 arrived, now just waiting for the CQB vz58 to re stock.

Would the spent casings clear the scope? VZ tends to spit spent casings straight up. I wonder if an ejector mod can help ejecting casing to the side.

I'm jealous of the side rail for mounting the scope.

Czechpoint will be stocking a good number of most or all their rifles in this week or next. Sign up for their email list and/or their facebook page and follow that. It sounds like they'll be getting in quite a few rifles.

Yeah, I too would be interested to know if that rail setup and the scope cause any issues.

They can be bought and installed separately.

You are correct, I had the rifle out to the range and 1/3 of the ejected brass is hitting the Scope. I will post pictures of my new setup in the next 24 hours.

Do not use the scope setup I have pictured here.

I think what Shane333 is talking about is that VZ2008s don't have the holes drilled and tapped for the siderails. We would have to get our gun drilled, tapped, and refinished to put on a siderail.

I replaced the scope and mount with one that won't restrict ejection.

It's a little on the high side but that's the way it goes, the fact is the VZ58 is not a scope friendly Rifle.
