What do you think of the FAB Defence VZ58 Hand Guards? Do they run cooler then the original beaver puke grips? If you do not have an optic installed on the top rail, can you still use the iron sights?

Yes, they do stay MUCH cooler than stock.  Yes you can still see your irons with the pic rail top handguard.
