Interested to follow this thread, I was reading on a Canadian site lately about their 858s and they seem to think it was only a matter of time/rounds before the Gremlin showed up. Texcl how do you like the break on yours?

The brake made a world of difference in the cheek slap, the para cord really helped making it a comfortable cheek weld. I have this same question posted on another forum and one guy has 1500 rnds down range with no ill effects. I think after market heavy recoil springs would go a long ways towards mitigating a little recoil and more importantly making the rifle last longer. they are all a little over gassed in my book, not too bad but a little more than I would like. I think the springs would fix this.

Cool..OP you made good on the pic.....I have 2 of these inbound to FFL on Friday. I will follow this thread and post my findings with mine as I get rounds thru them.

Around 4500 : BNX, Barnaul, Hungarian, Polish, Chinese and others i dont even know.
+unknown number of rounds when it was with army... I had striker broken (small crack - still works) and piston return spring got chowed up - non of those affected the rifle, just piston was bit louder. edit sorry, its not vz2008 |

Full-autos are "may issue" for collecting purposes - good luck with persuading cops that you need one..
Fullautos turned into semi auto are nonproblematic. |

I feel the fact that the rifle is lighter then an AK has alot to do with recoil.
