They're great folding stocks. My personal feeling is that when people buy these AR style stocks and put them on Vz's (very common in Canada) that they're trying to dress it up like an AR.

It's not an AR. Don't shoot it like an AR. Shoot it like an upgraded AK with a great collapsible stock.

You will never EVER know how lucky you are that you scored that Ambi bolt carrier on the SAME day that I was going to buy it.

It is a pistol, he would have to pay the .gov $200 and wait about 6 months just to put a stock on it to be a Short Barreled Rifle.  That and I am not sure if his state allows them (some do, some don't).

She came in faster than I thought. Picked it up out of the box and immediately fell in love. Seems very well built by OOW. Alot of detail work. Great accessory package that came with it also. New mags & pouch, folding stock, bayonet and scabbard, new cleaning kit, sling, and manual. Hope I'm part of the cool-guy club now...

Very nice, dugedug.

The bayonet really completes the look.

Stay tuned, got a StormWerkz stock adaptor and Ace folder on their way:) I'll be putting a Tromix skeleton stock on it, the Zahal rear cover and BC Tactical quad rail system....

I put one of those Ace stock folding mechanisms on it, I don't like it, I'm going to get rid of it and get the push button version for about $40 more, the regular one is extremely hard to fold.

How do you like your dust cover optics mount?

I'm tempted to get one for the baby:

I think those top cover optic mounts are worth their weight in gold, that being said, SOME ONE needs to make one that is more affordable!!!!

Very nice!  Any information you can provide on the buttstock?

I ask because the bakelite buttstock I have transfers a little too much recoil to my cheekbone when I'm firing.

That is sweet!  What size riser do you have on the CTR/MOE stock?  Once my taxes come in, I am planning on getting the railed top cover and the Gunexpert Stock tube there.

Thank you for your feedback

Most of upgrade parts are GunExpert - very pricey stuff, but in my opinion the best available.
Their e-shop is here. They ships oversea.

- stock tube can be found here, BTW it's colapsable and also folding.
- riser is 1/2 "
- my personal prference is mounting optics on dust cover. I've tried also put in on the handguard, but finally opted for dust cover. But, just my preference.
- dust cover can be found here

And sorry for my english

This is another dust cover, inferior to Gunexpert. Fixating system is unwieldy.

Its kinggun actually: http://kinggun.jansladky.cz/Modernizace-Sa-vz-58/ No reason to order it from Zahal, besides language barier;)

And i agree with Shadowhawk, it is inferior to GE cover, but it seems good enough to work. Price is 1/2 (if you dont order from zahal) GE, so there is nothing wrong with it.

WOW..Some great stuff here. Great pics, great guns, and priceless info.
I'm a newby to the VZ 58 Church of Czech, but a fervent convert.. Really great design.
Own a bunch of AR's, AK's, SKS, etc. CZ pistols are the cat's meow.
Learning a lot here in this forum and the whole site.
Thanks everybody.
(The picture of the Snow and Pistol and Rifle on first page was great.)

Got a new stock on her, and a light mounted underneath.  Might buy a side rail for my PRI upper mount and mount the light there sometime.  I have a railed spring cover coming in the mail to mount my EoTech on, so stay tuned for pics of that :)

Updated yet again :)

Got a new stock on her, and a light mounted on the side.  Bought a side rail for my PRI upper mount and mounted the light there.  Also mounted the Railed Spring cover (the kind you can get from Zahal.org, got it from www.corwin-arms.com) and put the EoTech 512 on it.  I really like this setup.

My wife says it looks mean now.  She thinks it should be banned.   O0  :P BTW she is only kidding! ;D

Here are mine, with their little friends. One is a century and one is a czechpoint.  I had ambi safeties installed.  My gunsmith machined off the edge of the receiver to ensure the safety cleared.  Wasn't necessary, but a precaution (the first smith I had work on these, the safeties "wobbled" laterally from the tab, took it to second smith to correct shitty work of the first.

The czechpoint has a us steel trigger (bonesteel) and piston. ETA: and a Ronin orignal style elongated pistol grip.

Also, the CZ52's have Novak white dot sights, after market firing pins, and slide release.  Novak installed the sights and took the pistol to the range and sighted it in with point of impact/sight picture aligned per request.  They are both real accurate shooters.

Nearly complete, just waiting on a couple of things, I think I'll be mounting a Zeiss Z Point optic on the scout mount... I'm also thinking about the standard VZ folder for it...

My contribution.

A full-auto CZ858. Story is that the CZ 858 sent to the Philippines was originally intended for the Canadian market and set for semi-auto. When it was to be shipped instead to the Philippines, the CZ factory modified the units to full-auto. The internals show the difference between a full-auto CZ58 and a full-auto CZ858. However, since May 2013, no new full-auto firearms are being sold in the country (prohibited registration).

Safe queen. 7.62x39 ammo here costs US$1.25 per round.
