Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Pinned and Welded Booster

So I have been considering getting a SLR 104 ur sbr but because I live in MD, the booster has to be pinned and welded in place to meet the 29" OAL requirement. But I'm concerned about corrosion and rust building up under the booster. Is this something I should be worried about even if I just shoot non corrosive ammo?

you shouldn't have to worry about rust if you use noncorrosive ammo. However, I know how much buildup happens in there and I personally wouldn't want a pinned boosted. I've seen some pretty caked crowns before.
