Does the standard ak arm brace work very well?

I have been looking through threads here and see some of you guys have a AR style arm brace on your PAP's.

The length seems a little longer on those then on the standard ak arm brace.

I want to buy once cry once so any info appreciated.

Thanks

I have the SB47 brace on mine and I added a spacer for a little longer LOP. Some of the AR type tube/brace installs have a cleaner look to them but some of the AR braces look shorter than my SB47 brace. My brace has 2 places for arm straps. Some of the AR braces look like they only have one place and it looks like the brace is shorter. There are different AR tubes that also extend the LOP so it shouldn't be an issue no matter which brace you go with.

Here's a photo showing the spacer I used.

Thanks for posting.
Yours was the one I thought of when I made this thread.
Did you get the spacer by it self  or a combo deal?
Thanks

Nevermind, I found it. Rapidfiretek can kiss my ass they want almost $80 shipped for that little piece.

I think a piece half the thickness that could be positioned wherever the user wanted to put it would still work great and may be a little cheaper but right now theirs is the only one available for the SB47 that I've been able to find. It won't be long before a competitor comes out with a similar, and hopefully cheaper solution.

Those going with the AR tube/brace are probably doing so for stability. The SB47 has a small bit of movement on my M92. I've read that changing pistol grips or sanding the top of the factory grip to an even plain can help with that. I haven't tried yet.

I swapped out my pistol grip for a Hogue rubber grip this week and it does make it sturdier on mine.
