I have a pretty good idea what the price will be on the Renegade forend and top cover, but we are going to hold off a bit on posting it until we get a bit closer to production.
That is the business way of saying "if production ends up being a little more efficient than we thought, we might be able to bring the price down a bit from my estimate!" and the end user benefits.

There's another version on Amazon for $40. And other places for $60. Although it has to be hacked in order to fit, but it works.

I won't lie....I'm thinking about getting an sb47 even though the mounting system looks horrible. I really don't want to jump through NFA hoops. Even considered selling the m92 to fund a ar pistol since the kak buffer tube and a QD end plate would make it as good as an SBR IMO |

He will give is the number when when all the variables are known so let's not pester the man who is bringing an item to market incredibly fast in part because "we" asked for it. Here is what I did to mine. It's a Siga rail, $70. It's not done yet but functional. I still need to clean up rough edges and I think I am going to duracoat it, black or dark gray. The gun over all is far from done.

I should have pictures of the Aimpoint Micro/Primary Arms Micro top cover in a few days.
That is part of the reason I am holding off on posting price, I want to make sure that top cover works, and that the machine time is about the same as the Fastfire top cover! |

Got the Aimpoint Micro/Primary Arms Micro red dot top cover mount prototype finished up, have to make some changes but everything co-witnesses fine. Will post up a pic or two in the next day or so!

Here is the first prototype of the Aimpoint Micro/Primary Arms Micro top optics top cover for the Yugo Krink Renegade forend. Yes, you can see the iron sights in the bottom 1/4 of the optic window.
(due to some clearance issues with the mounting hardware, the optic will centered on top front to back on the actual production version) If you want to be notified when the Renegade Forend is in stock (and when we release pricing), just send us an email to [email protected] asking to be put on the notification list.

I really like this setup because the hand guard actually protects your hand from coming in contact with the mount.

FYI, our Renegade forearm will be able to use the new ARC LOK mounting system (actually any of our forends can, it is a modular system we have been working on since last summer when the Tavor forends came out):

Just a quick update on the progress of the Renegade forend:
Mold construction is already started for the polymer portion. I did a couple of different top cover designs for various optics, finishing up the numbers on those to make sure they are all in the same price range, and once I have confirmed we will post the MSRP for the forend system. I should also mention that we will be selling the parts of the system "ala carte" so you will be able to buy just the polymer forend, and can always buy the optics top plate later.
The polymer forend will be $55 on its own, the optics top plates will be $70 for the complete assembly with mounting U-lugs. We are initially starting with the Burris Fastfire top plate and the Aimpoint Micro/Primary Arms Micro top plate models, and will be expanding the line from there. |

Don't know if this counts, but while I'm waiting on the Manticore, I gave a shot at the Asura's copy of the Zenit B-10 to see how it would work. I got the Asura becasue i didn't want to spend on the real one without knowing if it were even possible. Let's just say it doesn't fit with out a good deal of work. While this one "fits" I could do a lot better on a second attempt now that I know all the parts that have to be modified. Top is an old beat up Yugo handguard that I painted to match to see if i liked it. BTW - the handguard itself is a very well made copy of the Zenit for less. I love the ergonomics. It is very thin and handles well. The light rail on the side is a bit out of spec. The gaps are too narrow, but a little file work can fix that. i suspect that the Zenit rail would not have this problem. I
