If you are going to order at Impact be aware that they will charge your card to verify it as good and then reverse it in a few days. If you are using a debit card without sufficient funds it will trigger a overdraft or whatever you might have on your account.

Sorry I neglected to mention that, but the sales person did tell me that they "ding" the card for the charge after ordering to assure that the sufficient funds are available before finalizing the order and placing you on the backorder list. The actual charge will be applied when the item ships. |

I learned that the hard way, orderd the 25th, just got overdrafted today. I guess live and learn, at least Iam #20 on the list so I should have one from the 1st batch.

Because drafting the account to 'check' it is always a good indication of how much money will be available in 3 months when you actually charge it.
I'd really like one of these just not sure I want to deal with impact even if I might save $50. Might just wait and see what Atlantic says about them before ordering one. |

It is a bit flaky. If they just wanted to verify if the account existed and was valid they could just charge $1.00 like the gas stations do.

I'm in on this at Impact too.
Glad I passed on the $500+ Dracos |

Just got confirmed that I'm in on the first shipment also.
Never dealt with Impact before, but when I called them, they seemed like good people. |

Can't wait to see these. If I hadn't already built a Draco SBR I'd be in on this too... Then again Dracos were $320 shipped when I bought mine
Good luck everyone! |

Impact is notorious for taking preorders and taking forever to ship. Good luck to you guys. I remember people waited over a year for their FS2000s.

Just ordered mine. The lady said there was 30 pre orders so far hope I'll be in the first shipment. She had no idea when they would be here. A person should be able to have a factory built sbr for under $1000, better thann the Arsenal 106u pistol (by $300) and in 7.62 not 5.56.

When i talked to them yesterday, I was told that Impact was completely sold out of the first shipment of 35 ? I have an early order, so I should be good. But you might want to double check. |

My preferred vendor will certainly have them available. I'm thinking have it sent out and a side folder installed. Would make a nice companion to my 106-51. |

I don't know why everyone is surprised that they're not imported with bare threads since no AK pistol is. The Draco's even required you to cut off the weld first. |

So I'm on the list, but still considering going with a Draco. Whats everyone's opinion of these vs a Draco? Any thoughts on if they may be a little higher quality?

We do not know if the PAP is a new production or built off of surplus parts from the discussions we have had on here. Any thoughts on if they may be a little higher quality? I don't them being higher quality, they don't have a chrome lined barrel and outside of that we are looking at a different rear sight/muzzle device. |

No one has seen the PAP pistol yet so we don't really know what the quality and performance will be. The Yugo AKs are usually of good quality but generally lack chrome lined barrels if that is important to you.

A pretty well done manual. It gives me encouragement that this thing will come to pass sooner than later. You don't spend money to write a manual unless the product is close to fruition.

Since these are based on the M92 what are the chances that they will be made double stack to start off with? It is being called a PAP though which has been single stack to start off with and then opened up after import. Sure hope they are double with the appropriate bolt and wide trunnion.
