I know in photos some of my anodized or blued components like on my Mossberg 590, or some revolvers turn out that plum color. I think it's because near-IR frequencies the eye can't see, but the camera can mix in and redden it up. So did you do something after polishing, or is it so polished it's just reflecting a dark background? |

I was confused between the indoor pic where it's dark purple like that, and the outdoor one where it's obviously just polished/silver. Thought maybe you'd gone for the "Russian Plum" on the bolt carrier (Like some Russian Makarov metal parts...) for some reason. |

And nice rifle OP! What's the advantage of a left-opening buttstock? Is it to fire with the stock closed? How much modification did you need to make to the receiver/trunnion? My Draco-C has the underfolder trunnion, so I was going to go with a Romanian underfolder. But the more expensive Galil-style side folders look so much more comfortable to shoot. I was going to just do a 550-cord wrap on the wire underfolder, but still not decided.

thank you! IT WAS A PAIN! had ro drill and tap the rear trunion the inside of the trunion has somewhat of a convex shape so i faced the holes also removed the rivits and tapped the holes 10-32 and used button heads with lock tight so the trunion is easily removable.
